der Zeitraum passt nach meiner Angabe. Aber jetzt habe ich mich selbst um ein Jahrhundert vertan... sorry.
Bevor ich Dich hier alleine quäle folgt eine Auflösung.
Das Buch heist Experienc'd Angler, der Autor heisst Venables und das Buch ist aus dem Jahre 1662 (!). Folgende Beschreibung ist auf Seite 25 zu lesen:
... if I turn the feathers round the hook, then I clip away those that are upon the back of the hook, that so (if it be possible) the point of the hook may be forced by the feathers (left on inside of the hook) to swim upwards; and by this means I concieve the stream will carry your flie's wings in the posture of one flying...
übrigens findet sich in diesem Buch auch oben erwähnte Caddis Larve (S.29):
You may if you please place a small slender LEad upon the shank of your Hook, sink the BAit where the River is not violently swift, and draw the Cadbait over the Lead, you may make one the head of black silk, and the body of yellow wax; this you mus be often raising from the buttom and so let it sink again.
