Hi folks
I just arrived in Germany and will live here in your country for some 2 years. (Sorry for this :) )

I tried to search through net about possibilities for flyfishing here as well as all permits, shops etc. However, most of resources are just a formal information and nothing special which will help me to obtain licenzes, indicates places, and as I understood, I will also need to pass an exam :) Great!

Just would some of you will let me know where I can start to go for this exam and what excatly I should do. I very appreciate any advise, comment on this. I'm specially interested in Bonn region, because I will live somewhere here (acctually looking for a flat close to stream full with fish! - any guess?). Thanks a lot and hope to hear from you.

Hi Guntars,
welcome on board.
I don´t know if you as a visitor need special permits. Before starting fishing you should contact some officials. Contact the "untere Fischereibehörde" in Bonn or the town you stay. The "untere Fischereibehörde" is part of the community of your town. The people there can tell you what to do. I don´t know which shops are in Bonn area, but maybe sombody else at the board.
In the mentioned area there should be some rivers but in most cases you should be a member of a club or so. Maybe the River Sieg can be fished without any clubmembership. But ask your dealer. He would give you some tips.
Best regards Harald
